چکیده
Cerebellar Hippocampal and Basal Nuclei Transient Edema with Restricted diffusion (CHANTER) syndrome is characterized by an altered mental status. The acute MRI lesions show abnormal restricted imaging bilaterally symmetrically in the cerebellum, hippocampus, basal nuclei. This unknown presumed to be mainly opioidinduced toxidrome. Here, we present a case study wherein that it can also caused antidepressant overdose.

A 27 year old woman developed a cerebellar syndrome with serological evidence of recent Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. The cranial computed tomographic scan showed effacement of the fourth ventricle, enhancement of the basal meninges and hydrocephalus affecting the lateral and third ventricles. Clinical and radiological recovery occurred over 5 weeks. We propose that this was a manifestation ...

Phenytoin is one of the commonly used antiepileptic drugs. The common dose dependent and reversible neurological side effects of phenytoin are nystagmus, diplopia, dysarthria, ataxia, incoordination, chorioathetosis, orofacial dyskinesias and drowsiness. Persistent cerebellar dysfunction with cerebellar atrophy is a well known complication of long term phenytoin use. There are several mechanism...
